[Mg(HF)2](SbF6)2 and [Ca(HF)2](SbF6)2 monocrystals were grown from the corresponding hexafluoroantimonates(V) dissolved in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride. [Mg(HF)2](SbF6)2 crystallizes in the space group Pnma (no. 62) with a=1249.1(4) pm, b=1230.2(4) pm, c=699.1(2) pm, V=1.0742(6) nm3, Z=4. Magnesium is octahedrally coordinated by six fluorine atoms from which two belong to two HF molecules. The structure can be represented by alternating rows of magnesium and antimony atoms running parallel to the c-axis. Magnesium atoms are connected by cis bridging Sb(2)F6 units along the a-axis and by trans bridging Sb(1)F6 units along the b-axis. In this way a three-dimensional network is formed.[Ca(HF)2](SbF6)2 crystallizes in the space group P21/n (no. 14) with a=935.2(3) pm, b=1088.7(3) pm, c=1104.8(3) pm, β=106.697(5)°, V=1.0774(5) nm3, Z=4. The coordination sphere around the calcium atom consists of eight fluorine atoms which define the vertices of an Archimedean antiprism. The two HF molecules directly coordinate the calcium atom and their fluorine atoms are placed in the corners of different square faces of the Archimedean antiprism. The Ca-F(HF) distances are shorter than the Ca-F(Sb) distances. The Sb(1)F6 and Sb(2)F6 groups have four equatorial bridging fluorine atoms, while the Sb(3)F6 groups have only two bridging trans F ligands. The Ca atoms in the [−1,0,1] plane are connected by equatorial F ligands of Sb(1)F6 and Sb(2)F6 units, forming a [Ca(SbF6)+]n layer. These layers are connected by trans bridging Sb(3)F6 groups. HF molecules occupy the space between these layers and additionally contribute to the connection between the layers by hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

The activity of enzyme I (EI), the first protein in the bacterial PEP:sugar phosphotransferase system, is regulated by a monomer–dimer equilibrium where a Mg2+-dependent autophosphorylation by PEP requires the homodimer. Using inactive EI(H189A), in which alanine is substituted for the active-site His189, substrate binding effects can be separated from those of phosphorylation. Whereas 1 mM PEP (with 2 mM Mg2+) strongly promotes dimerization of EI(H189A) at pH 7.5 and 20 °C, 5 mM pyruvate (with 2 mM Mg2+) has the opposite effect. A correlation between the coupling of N- and C-terminal domain unfolding, measured by differential scanning calorimetry, and the dimerization constant for EI, determined by sedimentation equilibrium, is observed. That is, when the coupling between N- and C-terminal domain unfolding produced by 0.2 or 1.0 mM PEP and 2 mM Mg2+ is inhibited by 5 mM pyruvate, the dimerization constant for EI(H189A) decreases from >108 to <5 × 105 or 3 × 107 M−1, respectively. With 2 mM Mg2+ at 15–25 °C and pH 7.5, PEP has been found to bind to one site/monomer of EI(H189A) with KA′106 M−1G′=−33.7±0.2 kJ mol−1 and ΔH=+16.3 kJ mol−1 at 20 °C with ΔCp=−1.4 kJ K−1 mol−1). The binding of PEP to EI(H189A) is synergistic with that of Mg2+. Thus, physiological concentrations of PEP and Mg2+ increase, whereas pyruvate and Mg2+ decrease the amount of dimeric, active, dephospho-enzyme I.  相似文献

In this work, the authors use complete active space self-consistent field method to investigate the photoinduced charge-separated states and the electron transfer transition in complexes ethylene-tetracyanoethylene and tetramethylethylene-tetracyanoethylene. Geometries of isolated tetracyanoethylene, ethylene, and tetramethylethylene have been optimized. The ground state and the low-lying excited states of ethylene and tetracyanoethylene have been optimized. The state energies in the gas phase have been obtained and compared with the experimentally observed values. The torsion barrier of tetracyanoethylene has been investigated through the state energy calculation at different conformations. Attention has been particularly paid to the charge-separated states and the electron transfer transition of complexes. The stacked conformations of the donor-acceptor complexes have been chosen for the optimization of the ground and low-lying excited states. Equilibrium solvation has been considered by means of conductor-like screening model both in water and in dichloromethane. It has been found that the donor and tetracyanoethylene remain neutral in complexes in ground state (1)A(1) and in lowest triplet state (3)B(1), but charge separation appears in excited singlet state (1)B(1). Through the correction of nonequilibrium solvation energy based on the spherical cavity approximation, pi-->pi* electron transfer transition energies have been obtained. Compared with the experimental measurements in dichloromethane, the theoretical results in the same solvent are found higher by about 0.5 eV.  相似文献

Two types of novel functionalized N‐[4‐(4′‐hydroxyphenyloxycarbonyl)phenyl]maleimide and N‐(4‐{[2‐(3‐thienyl)acetyl]oxyphenyl}oxycarbonylphenyl)maleimide (MIThi) were synthesized starting from 4‐maleimido benzoic acid. Photoinduced radical homopolymerization of MIThi and its copolymerization with styrene were performed at room temperature to give linear polymers containing pendant thienyl moieties using ω,ω‐dimethoxy‐ω‐phenylacetophenone as an initiator. Copolymers' compositions and the equilibrium constant (K) for electron donor–acceptor complex formation suggest an alternating nature of the copolymerization. The monomer reactivity ratios and Alfrey–Price Q,e values were also determined. The thermal behavior of the new synthesized monomers and polymers was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Mixed ligand complexes of different compositions were prepared with water, sulfate ion and 1,2-ethanediol as ligand. IR spectra and the thermoanalytical curves of the complexes were recorded. Oxygen atoms bound by one or two coordinate bonds to the metal ion, or by hydrogen-bonds in the crystal, were observed. As for the water molecule, 1,2-ethanediol molecules of crystal and monohydrate type were found, depending on the type of binding of the oxygen atoms.This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Shape apprearance and crystallite characterization of magnesium hydroxide at different hydrothermal tempera-tures have been investigated by SEM, XRD and DSC methods. The grain size, cell parameter and lattice distortion rate of powders under each condition were obtained. The results show that the grains had grown up, especially along the (001) surface as the hydrothermal temperature was raised, accompanying the shrinkage of lattice and the de-scending of distortion rate. These could be relate to the re-crystallization of Mg(OH)2, as well as the thermal dif-fusion of OH- with lower charges, resulting in good dispersion, high thermal decomposition temperature and en-thalpy of Mg(OH)2. Moreover, it is helpful for the increase of the retardant behavior of Mg(OH)2.  相似文献

Lithium bis(trifluoromethylsulfone)imide (LiTFSI) is a promising electrolyte for high-energy lithium batteries due to its high solubility in most solvents and electrochemical stability. To characterize this electrolyte in solution, its conductance and apparent molar volume and heat capacity were measured over a wide range of concentration in glymes, tetraethylsulfamide (TESA), acetonitrile, -butyrolactone, and propylene carbonate at 25°C and were compared with those of LiClO4 in the same solvents. The glymes or n(ethylene glycol) dimethyl ethers (nEGDME), which have the chemical structure CH3–O–(CH2–CH2–O) n –CH3 for n = 1 to 4, are particularly interesting since they are electrochemically stable, have a good redox window, and are analogs of the polyethylene oxides used in polymer-electrolyte batteries. TESA is a good plasticizer for polymer-electrolyte batteries. Whenever required, the following properties of the pure solvents were measured: compressibilities, expansibilities, temperature and pressure dependences of the dielectric constant, acceptor number, and donor number. These data were used in particular to calculate the limiting Debye-Hückel parameters for volumes and heat capacities. The infinite dilution properties of LiTFSI are quite similar to those of other lithium salts. At low concentrations, LiTFSI is strongly associated in the glymes and moderately associated in TESA. At intermediate concentrations, the thermodynamic data suggests that a stable solvate of LiTFSI in EGDME exists in the solution state. At high concentrations, the thermodynamic properties of the two lithium salts approach those of the molten salts. These salts have a reasonably high specific conductivity in most of the solvents. This suggests that the conductance of ions at high concentration in solvents of low dielectric constant is due to a charge transfer process rather than to the migration of free ions.  相似文献

Epoxidation of ethyl 3-(6-hydroxycyclohex-1-en-1-yl)propanoate (11) provided the syn epoxide 12. By invoking chelation controlled epoxide opening the triol derivatives 13 and 14 or the spiro lactone 25 could be obtained. Elimination of HBr from the bromides 26 and 27 produced the spiro cyclohexenones 28 and 29. Epoxidation of the double bond occurred in a diastereoselective manner to give epoxides 30 and 31, respectively. Treatment of the epoxide 31 with LiBr/AcOH gave the bromo hydrin 38. In a ‘merry go round’ fashion 38 was further functionalized on the cyclohexane ring by elimination, epoxidation, and epoxide opening resulting in the bromo hydrin 43. Other cyclohexane derivatives that were produced during these studies include the cyclohexenone 19 and the cyclohexanediol 23. In addition, enolate azidation of the spiro lactone 29 proceeded in a diastereoselective manner providing the α-azido lactone 32.  相似文献
